Constant flow of water and sediment achieved by Engineer Clem’s innovative use of Venturi intake.

Note Initial turbulence soon replaced by water showing laminate flow with sed already in dark and light layers prior to settling as per final laminated sediment.

Sed used is mineral rich beach sand from Stradbroke Island Queensland.

Note Strata grow laterally from shallow input end to exit pt in deeper water, mimicking flood entry into marine basin. Note also trend to move from foreset bedding to laminar bedding as turbulence diminishes.

Over all evidence continues to decry the traditional ‘layers form one on top of other’ from Steno to Lyell to Darwin to Dawkins. These observed strata mechanisms have radical implications on fossil formation, fossil habitat claims and dating of strata. TIME OF FIRST RUN 20 mins

Reasons for slide show rather than multi-camera video. Reflection remains our main problem for filming as strong changing Aussie sun defies shade cloth, black box arrangement and even canvas cover due to ground reflections as shown in strangely obscure pics at end (we have tried them all) . We humans can move to cope but a battery of fixed video cameras cant.  Often our sudden movement to beat moving reflections has been a cause of some blurring in results so apologies.
